Trip to the Old Vic Theatre and Shequality workshop, 14th September 2018


Our pupils from our Shequality group (pupils with a strong interest in equal rights and feminism) recently attended a trip to the Old Vic Theatre and a workshop with Dr Helen Pankhurst.

First week of school for our new Year 7 pupils,                         7th September 2018


We were very pleased to see our new Year 7 pupils settling in so well and so engaged with their new environment and lessons.

Each pupil received a new reading book as a welcome gift and made a wonderful start to life at Platanos College with an understanding of the school's motto - Attitude Determines Altitude.

Switch Off Prejudice Anne Frank Exhibition at Platanos College, 10th July 2018


Platanos College pupils held an excellent exhibition at the school in collaboration with the Anne Frank Trust. Pupils were trained as Guides to lead the exhibition exploring issues of equality and discrimination. The two week exhibition was a great success and eye opener.

London History Tour, 2nd July 2018


Last week a total of 90 Year 10 pupils took part in a London history trip to the London Dungeons and Jack the Ripper tour as part of joint studies for GCSE History and English.
